PICCOLO SPOLETO THEATRE SERIES: PINOCCHIO—(Opera, 90min) This staging of a grown up fairy tale directed and performed by Massimiliano Finazzer Flory of Italy is based on the tragic character of Geppetto, a story of humanity written on a piece of wood marking the relationship between freedom and obedience, between son and father. The story of Pinocchio is philosophical: it teaches us to grow through the love of truth if we don’t want to be puppets in life. Features choreography and dance by Michela Lucenti and Emanuela Serra; music from Nino Rota and Fiorenzo Carpi. (Performance is in Italian with English Surtitles).
