Sixty-six artists, partnered as duos, contemplate thirty-three themes that reflect the issues of our time. Inspired by words frequently seen in news headlines, these artists will reflect on Unity, Politics, Black Lives Matter, White Supremacy, Terrorism, Justice, Forgiveness, Community and others. Each team of creatives – one minority and one white – will work independently in a variety of media, to facilitate meaningful conversations among viewers. To further inspire understanding, Dialogue in Black and White will invite members of the public to break bread together, meet for discussions, and other events; for a list of exhibition events, please visit www.charleston-sc.gov/citygallery.
